Hi, my name is Pippy. I was adopted by my parents from the Orange County Animal Shelter in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I was still in foster care when they found me because I was too small to even be at the shelter.
I’m a white and gray cat with silky smooth fur and dainty features. But don’t let my looks deceive you — I’m the Queen of the house and I ALWAYS get my way. I’m not as big as my brother Champ but I can still put him in his place. I have a secret weapon called “The Claw” which I keep extra sharp by not letting my parents ever, ever trim it. I love to cuddle, but only on my terms. Sometimes though, my parents will find me just woken up from a nap, in which case I’m usually too out of it to resist their cuddling and kisses. You can forget picking me up though, as I’m somewhat of a control freak. I’ve scratched a few faces before and I won’t hesitate to do it again.
I’m a socialite by nature – whenever my parents have guests over I turn on my mojo, just to get attention. And deep down, despite being somewhat high maintenance, I’m a sweetheart. The best way to make friends with me is to let me have my personal space.
I have a lot of nicknames I go by:
- Pip Squeak (I was really small as a kitten)
- Pip
- Pips
- Pippy Taylor
- Pippypatra
- Pipperine
- Pippysnake (you’ll know I’m pissed when my tail starts twitching)
- Girl Friend!
- Wonder Woman!
